DBS
Exercise in Advanced Parkinson’s Disease (PD) with Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS)

This project will investigate the feasibility of an exercise regimen in advanced Parkinson's Disease, defined as those who have needed to undergo deep brain stimulation surgery for their disease. We will investigate changes in non-motor symptoms with a regular aerobic exercise regimen in this cohort in addition to using DBS technology to learn more about the electrophysiological changes during exercise and with continued exercise, in the basal ganglia.
