Dr. Claudia Martinez Joins the Davis Phinney Foundation as Hispanic Community Engagement Manager

Dr. Claudia Martinez - Davis Phinney Foundation

[UPDATE: Since publication of this post, we have created a Spanish language site. Find Davis Phinney Foundation resources in Spanish here.]

In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month coming to a close, we thought it would be a great time to announce the addition of Dr. Claudia Martinez to the Davis Phinney Foundation team.

Claudia comes to us after 10 years of working with underserved communities as a primary care physician, being her father's primary care partner during his years with Parkinson’s, and working for 15 years as the head of the Hispanic Outreach Program at the Muhammad Ali Parkinson Center. There, she developed a comprehensive and culturally sensitive program for Hispanics living with Parkinson’s and their families that is currently considered the largest in the country. We knew Claudia would be the perfect person to help us expand our reach and create the tools and resources the Hispanic community needs to live well with Parkinson's.

To learn more about what Claudia is up to, we sat down with her to learn what brought her here and what she's excited to work on next.
