Find an Ambassador

We have more than 130 Ambassadors located in 38 states and nine countries. Ambassadors are available to connect with individuals, families, and groups to help answer questions about living well with Parkinson’s and connect you with resources and relationships to provide support.

Use the search and filters below to help you find the Ambassador you most want to speak to.

You can search Ambassadors in a variety of ways. If you know the Ambassador’s name, or want to search by city or state, you can simply type that into the search box below and click “Search”.

You can also use the filters to find Ambassadors based on their relationship to Parkinson’s, the region they live in, what topic(s) they are experts in, and/or what language they speak. Select as many or as few filters as you like and hit “Search” to see your results.

Can’t find someone in your area? Need a recommendation for who to talk to? Contact us at ambassadors@dpf.org and we can help you find someone to connect with.

Being an Ambassador is more than bringing brand awareness and connecting to 100 people each year. The work to live well often happens on a more intimate level. It happens in phone calls and on walks and over coffee, when we most need to connect with someone who really understands what we’re going through.

We recognize the breadth and depth of experience, skillset, and knowledge each Ambassador brings to our Foundation. Because of this, we have structured the program to support this aspect of living well at an individual level, while allowing for flexibility to capitalize on these unique strengths and community needs. Broadly, the primary role of an Ambassador during their service is to connect. Meaning within this program, Ambassadors are expected to:

  1. Educate: connect with individuals and families to impart knowledge on how to live well with Parkinson’s by connecting them with resources from the Davis Phinney Foundation and other trusted organizations, local and national alike
  2. Mentor: Connect with individuals or families affected by Parkinson’s to listen, provide support, and cultivate potential in others
  3. Connect: Find and create links between members and organizations in their community, towards the goal of helping people with Parkinson’s live well today

From speaking with individuals and families to presenting at conferences, sharing resources through exhibit tables, and participating in local, regional and national advocacy – the Ambassadors continue to expand on the scope of work they volunteered to participate in and bring invaluable insight to our educational programs. The Foundation in turn provides professional development opportunities, connections to a peer network, resources, and support to help the Ambassadors develop individual goals within their community and contribute to the Foundation’s annual, and long-term goals.

Do you or someone you know have an affinity for education, mentorship, or advocacy? We’re looking for individuals:

  • Living with Parkinson’s
  • Caring for someone with Parkinson’s
  • Working with those living with Parkinson’s

Who are well connected in their community and looking to elevate support to individuals and families living with Parkinson’s to live well today. Check out our application process here or reach out to Ambassadors@dpf.org for more information!
