I go to Rock Steady 2x wk for 6 mons now. I knew I would be sore starting out but it is worse. My leg muscles spasm all night long into the next day or 2. Is this just a part of PD advancing?
Hi Paula – I’m sorry you’re experiencing this pain. It’s so hard to know if it’s the boxing or Parkinson’s or something else. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? If not, I would consider doing that but also getting evaluated by a physical therapist who specializes in working with people with Parkinson’s. Not every exercise is right for everyone and perhaps there is something going on with your body that makes boxing especially hard on you.
