Founded in 2015, our Ambassador Leadership Program supports local community leaders, volunteers, and change-makers in their personal pursuits to help people with Parkinson’s live well today. From speaking with individuals and families to presenting at conferences, sharing resources through exhibit tables, and participating in local, regional, and national advocacy, our Ambassadors are active, passionate volunteers changing how people live with Parkinson’s.
Read on to see how you can get connected with an Ambassador Leader for support or get involved by nominating someone or applying for the program.

You can connect with any of our Ambassadors through our website by clicking on their profile, selecting “Contact…”, and sending a direct message to that Ambassador! If you do not hear back from the Ambassador within five (5) business days, please reach out to [email protected].
It is our ongoing goal to have an Ambassador in all 50 states, and internationally. If by chance, there is not an Ambassador within your area, you can filter your search based on the larger region, specific topics, or their relationship to Parkinson’s to find someone further from you to connect with virtually. If you’re unsure of exactly who would be best to connect with, reach out to [email protected] and we’ll help you find the best match.
We are so sorry that someone hasn’t gotten back to you. While our Ambassadors are committed to being responsive to the community, there are times when they may not get back to you as soon as we would have hoped. All of our Ambassadors are volunteers, and might have something going on that has taken them away from responding to your contact. If it has been over five (5) business days, please reach out to [email protected] and let us know so that we can get you in touch with someone right away.
We are always looking to welcome new Ambassadors. The best candidates are passionate about our mission to help people with Parkinson’s live well, are active in their community, drawn to connect with more individuals, and are eager to meet and engage with other individuals across the US and Canada. If this sounds like you or someone you know, we encourage you to apply! If you are interested in joining the program, all you have to do is fill out our application form. Once your application is reviewed, you will be contacted by the program manager about conducting a phone interview.
The Davis Phinney Foundation is very careful about how we share or endorse products/programs both to respect our volunteers and audience and to respect our corporate partner relationships. If you have a resource or opportunity you would like to share with our Ambassadors, please provide details to us with this form and we will share them with our team to evaluate the opportunity and appropriate channels and approaches for partnership.
Many of our Ambassadors are happy to speak to your local support group or event about their experiences with Parkinson’s and the philosophy of the Davis Phinney Foundation. If you are interested in having an Ambassador speak to your group, please reach out to us at [email protected] and be sure to include information about the event or meeting and if there’s a specific Ambassador you are hoping to speak at the event. While our Ambassadors are volunteering their personal time, we will try our best to get someone to present to your group!
