My husband was diagnosed four years ago but has had symptoms for maybe eight to ten years.
Living well with Parkinson’s means daily exercise, peace, and harmony.
I got involved with the Foundation because my attributes as a leader and listener, and being a registered nurse all make me feel as though I will be a great Ambassador. I’m excited to be an Ambassador to be able to pass along useful information and help make our Parkinson’s community fun for all.
I’m a golfer, a good cook, and love helping others. When my husband was diagnosed, my focus narrowed to helping him. I became a certified instructor for Rock Steady Boxing to help when our instructors were off island. Now I think it will be helpful to my community to incorporate some of the DPF information and opportunities so we can all live well with Parkinson’s. Mahalo.
