I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2018. My dad had Parkinson’s, so I had some experience with it, but I never imagined it would happen to me. I ignored symptoms for a while, but once I received the diagnosis, I knew it was time to take action to ensure the best life for my son and me. As an Ambassador, I want to help others going through a similar experience and remind them that this is not a death sentence. There is so much we can do to live well: exercise, eat well, and spend quality time with people we love. Helping others along this path gives me a sense of meaning and purpose, and I look forward to all the new connections I will make as an Ambassador.
