Ken Hill

Portland, Oregon

My journey with Parkinson’s began in 2015 when my wife Kat stopped working due to her Parkinson’s diagnosis. Kat was the primary income provider in our family; however, when she could no longer work, we had to resize our current lifestyle and future expectations. To help us on this new journey, we started a Young Onset Parkinson’s social group, and I am actively building a support network of Young Onset Parkinson’s care partners to help learn about and navigate this “new normal.”

Living well with Parkinson’s means staying positive and supportive within yourself and with your partner. It means using this as an opportunity to experience the joys and grace of each day’s victories, no matter how large or small they may be.
