Nora Vigil View in Spanish

Richmond, California

I am inspired by the organizations working to bring Parkinson’s resources to EVERYONE, and I want to be part of that. It can be scary to face Parkinson’s and to feel like your community doesn’t have anything for you. I am excited that the Davis Phinney Foundation is making it possible for us to share resources in our communities and with the Spanish speakers who often get left behind in the medical community. Being able to speak their language and come from the heart can change things for my community.

I’m also excited to be an Ambassador for the Foundation so I can work to create alliances between local organizations and form committees based on geography. A cared-for family is part of a happy community, and as an Ambassador, I hope to live those values and bring them to my community.

When I’m not working or volunteering, you’ll find me enjoying a delicious cup of coffee, attending church with my mother, eating a meal with my family, or taking my grandson out on his scooter.
