Director of Development

Rich joined the Foundation as its Director of Development in 2018. With a diverse educational background and a wealth of experience in business leadership, Rich brings 25 years of experience in practical business leadership and strategic growth, marketing, and development acumen in both non-profit and for-profit organizations to his role.

Notably, Rich has worked closely with the cycling and active outdoor industries, collaborating with organizations such as the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center, the International Mountain Bicycling Association, and Outward Bound. His program development initiatives have brought together influential entities such as the US Department of Education, Apple Computer, Subaru of America, the National Park Service, Trek Bicycle Corporation, the Coors Family Foundation, and The Walton Family Foundation, among others.

Working with donors and being at the forefront of neuroscience, exercise, and wellness is the most inspiring aspect of his role and collaborating with individuals, companies, and organizations driving innovation in these fields fuels his passion and dedication.

Beyond his professional endeavors, Rich firmly believes in the transformative power of spending time outdoors in nature and the valuable life lessons it imparts. Whether it’s riding bikes, running, climbing, or skiing, Rich cherishes the moments spent with family and friends from near and far.
