Sarah Berkman
Vice President, Marketing and Development
Sarah joined the Davis Phinney Foundation as Vice President of Marketing and Development in 2024.
Sarah has more than 27 years of experience in management positions in both for-profit and nonprofit industries. Prior to joining the Foundation, Sarah was Chief Development Officer for Clayton Early Learning, an early care and educational nonprofit. At Clayton, Sarah was responsible for donor and grant stewardship, as well as internal and external marketing and communications. Sarah also helped advance Clayton’s policy and advocacy work to influence systems-leaders and advance the field of early childhood education.
Before joining Clayton in 2015, Sarah worked for the University of Northern Colorado as the Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. She also worked for the Colorado History Museum and supported the capital campaign efforts for the History Colorado Center that opened in 2012.
Sarah attended Trinity College where she obtained a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts, and the University of Denver, Daniels College of Business, where she earned an MBA with concentration on international business administration.
