For the past 15 years, the Davis Phinney Foundation has invested in quality-of-life research, funding innovative projects and studies that prioritize outcomes with the potential to impact people living with Parkinson’s today.
Through this work, we have had the opportunity to support and collaborate with researchers from respected institutions across the country who are deeply committed to the Parkinson’s community. With leadership from our Science Advisory Board, we set priorities and seek out researchers who want to make a difference in people’s lives right now.
We recently sat down with four women who have led or are currently leading recently funded projects in our research program. Get involved in our research program
Guided by our Science Advisory Board, the Davis Phinney Foundation has supported more than 30 research studies focused on exercise, nutrition, gait, speech, telemedicine, alternative therapies, and other interventions that affect quality of life. Many of these studies have progressed to late-stage clinical research. Others have gone on to receive NIH and PCORI funding, while others have become therapies that are being used today by people living with Parkinson’s.
