It’s 2021, and while we’re still peeking around the corner, cautiously curious as to what will come next, we can tell you one thing with 100% certainty: our Every Victory Counts Challenge is back!
Starting on July 1, 2021, people with Parkinson’s and their friends and family around the country (and beyond!) will get moving in the second annual Every Victory Counts Challenge. If you were with us last year, you know that we launched the original Every Victory Counts Challenge as a way to stay engaged and active during the height of the pandemic. People of all abilities and interests came together (in spirit) to celebrate their everyday victories. Participants selected a minutes or miles challenge to conquer and then shared their highs, lows, roadblocks, and successes in a private “Race Village” on Facebook. To make the challenge even more challenging, they also fundraised for Team DPF. What came out of this was an inspiring community of supporters, who though not physically together, motivated one another through videos, photos, comments, and likes that spread across the world.
