I was diagnosed with MS in 2015 and PD in 2018 after a struggle that almost brought me to complete incapacity. Once properly medicated and with the help of deep brain stimulation surgery, I started on the path of living well. Since then, I have become much more active in the PD community. In September of 2024, I was able to complete the trek to Everest base camp with my son. I believe in improvement in myself so I can still achieve my goals with PD living well is a way of life.
Living well with Parkinson’s means being the best you can be. PD is a struggle, but so is life in general, from being a role model for others to live your best life to merely living well.
I have read books Davis authored and watched videos in which he has appeared. He articulated my values and thoughts surrounding PD being the best you can be. I want to help others find inspiration to live well, which is what led me to become involved with the Davis Phinney Foundation. I’m excited for the opportunity to help others in an organized manner.
I play golf almost every day to get my exercise. I love spending time with friends and interacting with my social cohort.
